JTS

Based in Paisley in the West of Scotland, JTS is a not for profit fair trade organisation set up to facilitate the import and distribution of fairly traded products to the UK.

JTS believe in Trade and Development - its vision is for a world where inequalities are overcome, and fair trade unlocks the potential of people and communities.

JTS sees its fundamental role as providing smallholder farmers and producers in developing countries with a market for their produce in the UK – and educating and inspiring UK consumers about the benefits of buying fair trade and Fairtrade certified products. Where necessary, and within its capacity, it supplements this trading and education work with producer development support and training.

JTS feels incredibly honoured at the partnerships it has developed in the North of Malawi in particular, and the way this has led to improved education, living standards and working standards throughout the farming communities of Karonga.

It is also very proud of the difference it has made in Scotland, both in terms of providing meaningful employment and training for its staff and by selling great tasting fair and ethically traded products supported by accessible educational materials for our customers.
