Paper High
Paper High was started by founders Mark and Claire in 2001 following three years travelling the world, a trip which concluded in an extended stay in Kathmandu and a chance meeting with a paper maker making beautiful products which sowed the seed of an exciting business idea. Returning to the UK, they set up a stall at Camden Market from where the business has since grown.
Paper High is committed to Fair Trade only working with producers that are known and visited on a regular basis to ensure that they can live up to its Fair Trade promise. Its producers are small family businesses and charities and World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) accredited co-
All its products are made using natural, sustainable resources. These can be the waste products of larger industry, for example, its Khadda paper is made from the cotton left over from the massive garment industry in India. Or it can be a more extreme sort of recycling like its elephant dung paper – no, it doesn’t smell but it does produce a wonderful natural paper!
Here in the UK Paper High still holds true to these values. Its brochures and stationery are made using 100% recycled post consumer waste and you may well see that the packaging it uses includes shredded junk mail.
